PDF Creator automatically creates print jobs

Hi,

in several last version I can see a bug. When I start my rdp session, pdf creator starts creating

lots of print jobs with name Remote Desktop Redirected Printer Doc

It stops the same moment I close my rdp session.

 

Remote computer has win xp installed and older pdf creator (0.9.8 or something like that). My

computer has Win Vista running latest PDF Creator 1.3.2. It is very annoying especially when a new version is out and I have tens of windows offering me a new version.

 

How can I stop creating those print jobs? There was a version about 1 or 2 years ago that made the same thing. New version has helped. But last 2 or 3 versions are same and I cannot work via RDP :(

 

It seems that there is a problem with win XP as remote computer as Vista as remote computer runs

as desired.

Hi,

 

if it has then version 1.4.3 should solve the problem, you can disable the update notice completly now.

Hello,

what kind of data is printed? This definitely is nothing that happens on many or all machines, so it must be due to something specific on your machine.

Hi,

it tryies  to print job "Remote Desktop Redirected Printer Doc.pdf" - it is an empty 1 page pdf file that has 2866 bytes when printed.

 

I can post a better screenshot if that helps. It must be something wrong with remote machine because it doesn't create when I log to other machines.

 

I guess I have to reinstall windows to avoid the problem. If I keep thinking about the problem it seems it has nothing to do with pdf creator. I have tried to remove it and I have same problem with local printer. On the other hand even if my local printer is set as default, only pdf creator makes print jobs.

 

I was courious whether you have encountered the same problem or not. If it is pointless to solve my problem, just tell me that and I will reinstall my remote PC with Windows XP.

you probably will need to reinstall your windows, we couldn´t find anything connected to PDFCreator causing this problem.

Same problem here with Remote Desktop. This is not problem of one version of PDFCreator. 

PDFCreator is on Windows server 2008.

Is it possible, this has something to do with the dialog "new version of PDFCreator available"?

I have solved the problem - at least for me…

I have disabled local printer sharing in options dialog. Still there is problem with remote computer but definitelly not problem with pdfcreator. Sorry to bother. You can close thread. Thanks.
