How are you handling server installations with the auto-save option ? If I have 20 users printing\\creating PDF's and the only option is the date\\time stamp how are they going to know which documents are theirs without pulling up each document to look at it ? Users are not going to know when they printed it. If you use other tokens it only gives you the name of the server that created the document not the actual user that printed it.
If you use the token, you know who has printed it...
Use one of the tokens. See the help file.
The Options Menu -> Program Settings -> Auto-Save Mode

The username token only gives you the username of the server not the username of the person who printed the document.
Example: I have users that go into our application and select the pdfcreator printer that is installed on the server. They then print their documents. These documents print to a shared drive but only print the date\\time stamp. If I select the 'username' token then it prints the 'username' of the server where the software is installed. Do I have install the software on the users PC as well ?
Thanks.
Use please.
I tried that and it still gives me the login name of the server, not my name. It that because the server is the owner of the job ? All I am doing is selecting PDFCreator as the printer from my app and then it's creating the job out on a share, am I missing something ? This may be a limitation with our application ? Any other ideas ?
