Pdf-creator uses file extension .prn instead of the desired .pdf

 Hello everybody

I had a well-functioning pdf-creator, but after downloading the newest version it will now only allow me to print using the file extension .prn instead of the desired .pdf.

Can anyone help me here I would be grateful.

I am having the same problem with both V 1.3.0.2 and V 1.3.0.1 on a Win7 64 bit machine. The only save to file extension offered is .prn.

Hi,

 

it sounds like there´s something wrong with the printer driver, try uninstalling PDFCreator,

rebooting your machine and installing it again.

OK, uninstalled, rebooted, and installed again, but it made no difference the only file choice available is still .prn.

Any other suggestions?

Unchecking "Print to file" allowed the PDFCreator dialog to come up, and following the steps yielded success.

Hi,

 

have you maybe checked "save output in file" (not sure of the exact english name, its directly in the printing dialog that appears when you press print)? It needs to be unchecked.
