Pdfcreator 2.0.1 requests NET Framework 4.0.30319

Hi,
I wonder what is going on with pdfcreator 2.0.1 that requests NET Framework 4.0.30319 that was installed before pdfcreator 2.0.1
The 1.7.3 version was working correctly.
Could someone help me to find the wrong thing ? Thanks a lot in advance & happy new year.

Hello, I’m not 100% certain, but 2.0 was a big rewriting, it wouldn’t be surprising that 2.0 doesn’t work well with XP.

It’s bad for you, since this last update abandoned Win XP.

the main download page states :

If you should encounter problems with PDFCreator 2.0, you can still download PDFCreator 1.7.3

 Just to mention, Microsoft itself abandoned Win XP too, so ...

it does run on our XP SP3 test machines. You can try two things to fix this issue: reinstall .NET 4.0 before installing PDFCreator, or uninstall.NET 4.0 and let PDFCreator install it for you.
