PDFCreator and SAP

Hi Guys,

We've got PDFCreator shared on a Win2003 box and running as a service. We can print from SAP to it as a LOCL output device (this isn't workaround for us)  if we try to use this as a system printer within SAP a blank .pdf of 3KB is produced.

There is an error entry in the log ( see below).

Could anyone shed any light or has anyone been able to get this working though SAP?

Are you sure that the SAP printer use a postscript printer driver? This is important and necessary.

This is a general error that everyone is facing. I downloadeed an ebook related to SAP but couldn't debug the program. It's a hard trouble for everyone who is working with SAP and I hope the developer team will look throughout this problem as their coursework to give some ice on our pain.

I wanted to let anyone interested, I have successfully used PDF Creator as an shared printer (print server) for SAP printing.  As stated above, the Device Type needs to be set as a post script printer.  I am using POST2 as the device type, and having no problems for SAPSCRIPT forms being printed as PDF file type.  You'll have to go into the advance options to set your location to save the pdf files on a file share, but so far, this is working great.
