I’ve been using PDFCreator for many years to encrypt my PDF
documents with a password and it has been working great. However, I was
just prompted to “set my default printer to PDFCreator” in order to use
it and I did. After doing that, when I tried to encrypt my PDF document
with a password, my color document became black and white.
I would like to check how I can adjust the color settings and have it save
it in color instead of black and white. This never happened in the last
few years. I’ve tried reading the FAQ and searched through the
questions but couldn’t find a solution. Would appreciate your assistance
and guide.

you can try if changing the Color Model under Profile Settings->PDF->General helps, also check the properties of the virtual PDFCreator printer as they also have an option to switch between color and b/w.
