PdfCreator doesn't create a PDF file (Windows 8.1)

Hello,
I installed/deinstalled PdfCreator several times but the result is everytime the same:
when use PDfCreator as printer no PDF file is be created.
I use Windows 8.1

Does anybody have an idea what to do?

does this happen with the latest version (1.7.2)?
If so, please post the setuplog.txt from your main PDFCreator folder here (use the “Paste as text” button to the top right of the textbox)

I have just updated to ver. 1.7.2 as a replacement for ver. 1.6.? on a Windows 7 system, and have tried downloading and installing it several times, but have found that although PDF Creator ver. 1.7.2 does create a pdf file that file is empty.
However, that was using your “Default” profile. I have now tried the “High Quality” profile and that does work very well. But I would prefer to use the default setting as I always used to.

I’ve just replaced 1.7.1 with 1.7.2 on a Windows 7 system. On the basis of Saltmanque’s comments I tested and encountered problems. For me the “Default” and “Pre-press” settings worked fine. However, “Screen”, “Ebook” and “Printer” settings resulted in blank pages.

we will have a look at this, didn’t run into these problems while testing it here but will try to somehow reproduce.
