PDFCreator not installing

Hi everyone,

Since few days, my PDF creator instance is not working anymore.

I tried to update, and I tried to uninstall, and I keep having this error message:

Any idea how to sort out the situation ?

I've checked on my entire drive, and there is no such PDFCreator-5_2_2_60477 file.

Thanks so much, works like a charm !

The only thing: I could not extract the content of the file that I downloaded (it is a .exe, and even changing the file extension, it appears that it does not contain the install files).
So I did the following:

  • Download 3.2 install file
  • Download 2.2 install file
  • Kick 3.2 install (the directory with install files is created)
  • Kick 2.2 install (the directory with install files is created)
  • In the install popup of 3.2, I search for the directory created by the install of 2.2

What is bizarre to me: install of 2.2 was failing, with no error message - and no specific information in the log file...

You should have done the following to extract the contents of the PDFCreator-5_2_2-Setup.exe file:

  • install 7zip downloaded from https://www.7-zip.org/
  • right click on the PDFCreator-5_2_2-Setup.exe file
  • use the right 7zip menu entry to extract to the folder named PDFCreator-5_2_2-Setup\

Then:

  • move the contents of the PDFCreator-5_2_2-Setup\ folder to the C:\Users\ ... \AppData\Local\Temp\3iujnh5b.de0\ folder
  • try uninstalling PDFCreator again
