PDFcreator queues jobs while not logged on

Short description:

When I am pringing to PDFCreator while not logged on to the computer, the PDF's are generated and queued in Print Monitor.

When I log on, and open Print monitor, the queue is released, and all PDF's are written to the proper directory.

Longer description:

I have two installations on the computer: A standard, and onw using the ini file. It is output from both printers that is queued.

Software version 0.9.6 Autosave enabled.

When I am testing while logged on to the computer (running the scheduled tasks that print from Excel to PDFCreator), the files are written instantly, no problems. It is only when the jobs run at nighttime, that I have the problem

Any hints much appreciated.

Hi,

you will need a user who is logged in at all times to run the PDFCreator.

best regards,

Thanks - that’s an issue for automation systems, but I’ll just lock the screen here

Hi,

yes there are some issues with forcing an desktop application into server mode, that is why we decided to develop a separate service for server usage which should be available within the next months.

best regards,
