/PF option for a HTML file doesn't work on some machines

Hello, I had installed PDFCreator 1.6.2 on several machines (all of them having Windows 7 Ultimate x64).

After that, I ran:
d:\\>PDFCreator /PF"d:\\a.html" (file a.html exists on d:\\)

On some machines I got "Print" dialog and everything went OK, but on several machines I got no dialog window opened and nothing happens.

Could you help me with some hints?

Hi,

Hint1:

the user temp folder needs to be in a local/unencrypted drive.

regards,

Robin

Hi Robin,

I verified user temp folder on all machines and I may confirm you that , on all of those machines temp folder is in a local/unencrypted drive.

But, during my tests I observed that , the two machines with problem are Windows 7 Professional.

Machines with Windows 7 Ultimate are working and also I tested on a machine with XP (x86) SP2 that also works.

Hi,

does “manual” conversion of files work on the Proffesional machines?
Or does PDFCreator not work on those at all?

Hi,

Manual conversion works. Manual means: I open a HTML file
using IE browser and print it to PDFCreator virtual printer. But…using
command line: pdfcreator.exe /PF"" doesn’t work
because Print procedure never starts (Print dialog - similar with the
one from IE never shows). Also, I confirm you that I ran the command
line using admin rights on those machines.

Best regards,
Florin
