In PDFCreator 1.9.2.395 the “Print Document” Action doesn’t include pdf backgrounds while the generated PDF does.
Yes, this is the same as with PDFCreator 1.7.x. This is “by design”, as we are using the printer input we receive to reprint the document to a physical printer. At this point the background is not applied yet and there is no easy way to work around this.
The only option would be to print the final PDF file. You can to this with the script action and an application installed that can do this, like SumatraPDF (which is very lightweight) or Adobe Reader.
