Print monitor increasingly slow when many items in PdfCreator/Spool folder

I love using PDFCreator.  When I have just a few items in the PDFCreator/Spool folder, the print monitor is very quick.  However, as the spool grows, the monitor becomes increasingly slow.  When it has several thousand items in it, then it is a minute or more between outputs. (PS to PDF).

It seems as if each time the monitor is ready to print again, it reads the entire folder, very very slowly.

Does anyone have observations or are there known solutions that I can try?

We solved the problem by going back to version 0.9.7 of PDFCreator.  If you can call that solving a problem.

I have tested few versions 1.5.x, 1.4.x, 1.3.x and 1.2.x. The latest good working for me is PDF Creator 1.2.3.
PDF Forge team - could You repair that problem at the latest version?

So, any results? That problem cause that I can’t update to latest version, but I have to use PDFCreator 1.2.3 - OLD version :frowning:

We are still using 1.2.3 for a variety of reasons.  Had issues with all versions i’ve tried past that.  1.2.3 still working good as long as i restart the application every day or so.
