Program stops after selecting save location

When trying to print out a pdf using pdfcreator the program stops just after the save location is selected. Specifically the moment when the "Save" button is pressed in the "Save as" window.

Sometimes the animation shows up for a split second but either way the program stops and no pdf is produced.

I'm running windows 7 and I have encountered the same error on versions 0.9.7, 0.9.8 and 0.9.9.

The error is not specific to printing from any program and is encountered when printing the test page in the pdf creator options.

I think these threads point to similar problems but the descriptions are vague...

If anybody has an idea as to what could be the cause of this problem that would be great. Also if anybody has the same problem it would be interesting to know what operating system and version of pdfcreator they are using.

Finally I have found a solution to this problem.

It has to do with having two versions of Ghostscript being on the same computer (one from PDFcreator and the other from a CAD program that was installed).

To solve the problem, I had to remove all references to the second (non PDFcreator) version of GS from Windows' "Environmental Variables". Now it prints fine.
