[Resolved] - Impossible to edit PDFCreator options

Hi,

I try to use the security options on PDFCreator to protect my pdf against copying and printing.
However, I can't access print options. In fact, when I click "option", the following error message appears:

Is it an known error ? I work on a Windows server 2008. But it's the same kernel that Vista, and PDFCreator is compatible with Vista. I don't think the problem is linked to the OS.

Thank you in advance for your help,

Ptitpied

Hi Ptitpied,

I had the same problem on my Win2k8-box:

The problem is the "data execution prevention" of Windows... You can add PDFCreator to the list of exceptions. You can find the settings under "Advanced System Settings" - "Performance Settings" - "Data Execution Prevention".

STATUS : RESOLVED

Hi Marcus,

Many thanks for the solution and speed :). I never thought to look at these parameters.

At this point, how did you find the solution?
Have you any sites or books?
If yes, I'm interested ... I works on Win2k8, that's why, I installed it on my laptop.

PS: Not hesitate to use my personal email.

Thank you kindly for the information.
Cheers,                                                               Ptitpied

This works just like it should on a Windows Server 2008 which I installed as a standard installation after I read this solution. Thanks a bunch! The solution is accurate...
