i think already from version 1.4.3 the pdf creator doesn't accept the password at window (enter a password) for loaded certificate. We tried many certificates in our company and it's not possible as well as in the new version 1.5.0 too. Thank you
i just tested it again and it works here. What exactly happens on your machine, does the ok button stay inactive or does it not work after you have pressed ok?
Have you tried on different PCs?
I tried with a very short basic pw Test9, maybe theres a problem somewhere with very long passwords or special chars.
I have the same problem as Tomas reported above – the OK button in the certificate password dialogue is disabled. The length or complexity of the password doesn’t matter, the OK button still remains disabled, even if I enter a ‘hello’ password.
PDFCreator version 1.5.0.
OS Windows 7 Pro 64bit, Service Pack 1.
I have used the signature only.
Hi Robin, the button stay inactive only. I tried it on three PCs and with different signatures and a passwords was not so hard!
are you using signatures and encryption at the same time?
in the new version 1.7.0 of the PDFCreator the problem still remaining. Signature (certificate) window doesn’t accept the password anytime! In the our company it happen for all fives certificates. Please, help.
I found out there was an issue with my certificate. Presumably PDFCreator failed to validate the password due to this and did not enable the OK button.
Once I resolved the certificate problem, PDFCreator is running pretty well.
Tomas, I recommend to check the validity of the certificate, mine was issued by Postsignum.
You were absolutely right. It was a problem with certificate. The Postsignum already created the application (ISign) which allow do anything with the certificates installed in the computer. I’ve exported private key with that application and it works well now. Thanks
Hello, I have the same problem - OK button is grey, no matter what I type. But problem started today, yesterday was everything OK. Only change was installing Silverlight and Java. Any suggestions?
have you checked the validity of the certificate?
