Speed up the printer

Hi!

Is it possible to speed up the printer?
Printing large format drawings and multi-page documents sometimes takes up to 10-15 minutes, but the Virtual Image Printer Driver Pro Tool (http://code-industry.net/imageprinterpro.php) processes them for 1-2 minutes!

Thank you!

Hi,

did this happen with the PDFCreator printer, or with the PDFArchitect and which version are you using?

regards,

Robin

Used PDFCreator 1.6.1, now updated to the latest version.
But the situation hasn’t changed.

I think that Imageprinter code is maximally optimized for multi-core processors.
This is evident in the publication of multiple files:
it “prints” all the pages in parallel and then “glues” them into a single file.
When printing large format seems that it’s divided into sectors, which also processed in parallel.

PDFCreator - excellent project in everything besides speed…
But it can be taught to work as well or even better.

Accidentally mark topic as “Answered”…
What answer team pdfforge?

Hi,

cuold you upload one of the files which takes 10 minutes somewhere so we can run some tests?

Robin

Maybe a little bit old, but still relevant.

Is the pdf-creator printer multithread on the same "print" job?

Some print jobs take a while, but whole system is nearly idle.
