Spool jobs shows in the queue then disappear and not printing

Hello Support,
I’m experiencing issues where we send print jobs from a published Citrix app to PDFCreator printer to print in PDF. The print jobs shows in the print queue, but then disappeared. There are no files saved in the target auto-save directory. We tested printing directly from Windows and it worked fine. We already uninstalled PDFCreator, McAFee, turned off firewall, checked folder security permissions and setup up properly.
Can you please help. Below is the log.

Hello Viewmountain

Did you ever get this resolved. I have the same issue. I can restart the PDF Arc services and is prints again, but the problem presents itself several times per day.

Thanks
Warren

Hi,

PDF Architect or PDFCreator? The post above is for PDFCreator, but you write PDF Arc services, so I am a bit confused.
If it is for PDFCreaotr, the issue could be caused by a missing user session, e.g. if the printing application runs as scheduled task or service without any user logged in.

Best regards

Robin

Hello Robin

This is for PDF Architect 5 running in a Citrix XenApp 6.5 environment.
I have 15 provisioned Citrix XenApp servers. At least once per day a user wil have the issue where the job appears very quickly in the print queue then disappears and no save prompt will appear. Restarting the PDF Architect services on that server resolves the problem. I don’t see anything unusual in the windows log files.

Warren

Hi Warren,

thank you for clarifying. Are you printing from PDF Architect to a different printer, or are you printing to the virtual PDF Architect printer? Did you use the terminal server installer for the initial installation? I am not sure if using the incorrect installer would lead to this situation, but it might be worth checking.

Best regards,

Robin

Robin

I did use the terminal server installer and we are printing to the PDF Architect printer.

Hi,

so far we haven’t been able to reproduce the issue.
Is it possible to tell if this only happens when multiple users print at the same time?

Best regards,

Robin

It does not appear to be more than a single user at a time.

I don’t see where I can upload the crash report.

Warren

Hi,

I think the forum software only support uploading images, but we will happily look at the crash report if you send it to support(at)pdfforge.org

Best regards,

Robin
