Strongvaut attempting to install when printing to pdfcreator

Start with version 1.7.0 of PDFCreator I am receiving an error message stating that the Strongvault installation files cannot be found, I click on cancel, receive an error message stating the the install failed, then receive the PDFCreator dialog, anfter clicking save -- the pdf file is created as expected.  What was not expected is the attempt to install unwanted software on my system.  I feel sure this is related to the developer choosing to use the Strongvault software on their system but should not be forced on your clients.  It does not appear to have any impact on your excellent product, however, I will have no choice but to install your software and cease recommending it to others if the issue continues.

Thanks

Hi,

did you install Strongvault during the PDFCreator setup? It is a possible offer, but definitly optional.
Have you taken a look at your windows control panel to see if Strongvault shows up in the list of installed software?

regards,

Robin

Robin, I thought about it being an install option but did not find where to unselect or select it.  It (Strongvault) is not installed on my comupter.  The issue is that every time I print to the PDF Creator printer, it attempts to install Strongvault.  I have unistalled PDF Creator and PDF Architect and will attempt to reinstall to see if it recurs, but I have done this twice already.

Thanks for the timely response

Uninstalled, reinstalled, did not select any of the items in the two screens toward the end of setup (Safe, etc). Still have the issue... I did find and delete a reference to "Setup_Strongvault.msi" in the registry and that seems to have corrected the issue.

Thanks
