Hi,
Are they news about the development of SVG conversion since experiments of 2009 ?
This could lead to a SVGCreator which is a real problem today with the genralization of the use of SVG to show drawn images (maps, schema, technical drawing) rather than raw formats which are heavy to hold in most cases.
Inkscape is able to hold well the conversion of PDF to SVG.
As SVG is closer with HPGL/2 than PS, while PS is very close of PDF, when the PDF to SVG conversion has been held, we can think that the main problems are held and PDF to SVG or SVG to PDF is not far, and an SVGCreator could be a suitable aim.
Best regards
Trebly
note : Some... years ago, I have written a lot of soft to draw in HPGL/2 and PS, and too, display both on windows.
