Temporary file location problem

I have been running PDFCreator on a Server 2008 Terminal Server for about a year. It has always been excellent and never caused us any issues.

Recently when creating a PDF we have seen a prompt:

PrinterTemppath: 'PDFCreator\\'=
'c:\\users\\administrator\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\PDFCreator\\'

There is a problem when trying to access this drive or directory!

Nothing has changed on this server recently that would co-incide with this problem. The location specified does exist and all users have full permission to this location. The PDF is created and .tmp files appear in the folder.

What could be the problem?

I have tried to move the temp location in the registry to a userprofile neutral location but this has the same problem.

All users logon as themselves, so I am confused why the temporary location appears to only ever point to 'administrator'

Can anyone help? thanks

I have the same problem on 3 of my terminal servers (win 2003). Do you found any solution?

Thanks

Same problem here with (Windows 7) stand alone version.

  • De-installation did not remove everything
  • Update to new version failed and had to be aborted

This helped me I changed the following registry setting value

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\PDFCreator\\Program\\PrinterTemppath
"PrinterTemppath"="PDFCreator\\"

Changed the value to "C:\\PDFCreator\\"

Then I set security settings on that folder for everyone to full.

There is another value located at

HKEY_USERS\\.DEFAULT\\Software\\PDFCreator\\Program\\PrinterTemppath

Same for me with Windows 7 Home Premium.  Uninstalled deleting settings, rebooted, installed, same thing.  The temppath error is followed by a 481 error.  However, if I open the program then it prints correctly whatever was in queue.
