I just upgraded to version 1.2.1 on two computers, one Windows 7 and the other Windows XP. On both, PDF Creator works great when printing from Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer). Unfortunately, text is garbled when printing from other applications (Chrome, Opera, West Transcript Viewer). By "garbled", I mean characters are not displayed; they are replaced by squares in the resulting PDF document. (Images seem to print fine from any application.) I uploaded some examples here, to show what I mean:

I’ve been using PDF Creator since version 0.9.5. This problem occurred once before, when I upgraded to one version to the next (don’t recall which version number). That time, I fixed the problem by installing GPL Ghostscript separately and using that external Ghostscript instead of PDF Creator’s internal Ghostscript. Using external Ghostscript, text printed fine from all applications. This time, I tried that again, and it had no effect: I get the same result both ways. I tried printing each of those docs linked above with both internal & external Ghostscript, and they look the same both ways. Through several versions after last time I had this problem, the problem has not recurred until version 1.2.1. I was using 1.2.0 until last week, and there was no such problem.
Any help would be appreciated. I’d like to stay on the current version of PDF Creator. But if I can’t solve this problem, I’ll have to uninstall and downgrade to version 1.2.0.
