Unable to print after 1.4.0 is installed

Hello,

I'm using Pdfcreator for a very long period. After installing v. 1.4.0 I'm unable to print at all. I have tried to uninstall / reboot / install, but without success. Same problem I have on both of my computers. Only thing that I can print is Test page :(

Fortunately, I was able to uninstall 1.4.0, and reinstall 1.2.3 again.


My Environment:
===============
- OS: Win XP SP 3 (32bit)
- Remark:
  I have two env variables (TEMP and TMP) that are referring to:
     TEMP=C:\\Temp
     TMP=C:\\Tmp

What I have discovered (so far):

With version 1.4.0
==================
- When “printing” PdfCreator creates two (2) folders (?!?):
     1. C:\\Temp\\PdfCreator\\Spool
     2. C:\\Tmp\\ PdfCreator\\Spool
- In “C:\\Temp\\PdfCreator\\Spool” it creates two files:
     1. .inf
     2. .ps
- Printer monitor is NOT showing up.

With version 1.2.3
==================
- When printing, PdfCreator creates one .tmp file in “C:\\Tmp” folder
- Printer monitor shows up
- I can save PDF document

After a lot of debugging and many users sending us their pdfcmon logs, we have finally tracked down this issue.

Most likely the second entry here will help you: http://www.pdfforge.org/forum/help/8727-known-problems-and-solutions-version-140

If not, please post a comment there together with the pdfcmon.log

 Thanks for clarification and your effort.

I'll have to wait for 1.4.1 release, because pointing both TEMP and TMP to same location (folder) is not solution for me (in all locations/machines) :(

Some other sw may (and actualy does) rely on different TMP and TEMP location...

 I've been having difficulty printing with 1.4 entirely and perhaps it's in the choices I made during the wizard installation process.

Because of the difficulty of trying to print landscape in the 1.3 version and seeing one FAQ regarding changing settings, I decided to install 1.4 and tried the different options (personal versus network). 

Neither one solved the landscape printing issue and I had posted in the forum without response yet.

In the meantime, I'm simply trying to print a portrait document and can't. Have tried the troubleshooting steps and simply can't print at all. The printer icon does appear on the bottom right as if it's processing but it disappears without prompting for saving the document.

Will uninstalled 1.4 version and the network way of installation and intend to reinstall 1.4 to try the previous printing features I used before.

I don't understand the path linggo in the earlier posts and therefore can't provide more info from this end.

Appreciate any assistance relating to both issues.  Thanks.
