Version 1.7.2 or Ghostscript problem - Blanket printout

Howdy!

I used to print with PDF Creator since two years ago and everything was great, but the ghostscript version that the program was using it’s 8.52 (i guess). Now i can’t anymore find the 8.52 version but only the default version installed with PDF Creator (9.10). Now all document coming at printout all white.
I guess there is a GPL Ghostscript here, what can i do???

Hi,


in most cases this can be fixed by uninstalling PDFCreator, rebooting your computer and running a fresh installation afterwards.

Alredy tried out but the problem is still here!

Do i have to reinstall the Gostscript 8.52 (no longer compatible with the latest version of your software??)

I’ve tried also to uninstal/reboot and install the 1.9.2 version but the result is always the same!!!

I’m in a big trouble!

I’ve found and reinstalled AFPL Ghostscript 8.52 from sourceforge.net.

Now i can get my printout but the AFPL GS 8.52 is no loger compatible with PDF Creator.

Inside the error log i found this: "Can’t find (or can’t open) font file C:\Program Files (x86)\Tecne\PS2PDF\gs8.54\Resource/Font/NimbusRomNo9L-Regu."
Maybe there is a setting that don’t erase with an uninstall/reboot process and when i reinstall the software this alwais point at this address “C:\Program Files (x86)\Tecne\PS2PDF\gs8.54” and don’t takes into account the default GPL GS 9.10 and return a white page.
How can i solve this problem without keep this crappy AFPL GS 8.52 in my settings???

Strange problem but i need a solution because PDF Creator is by me the most powerfull pdf software and i don’t want to use other one!

Hi,


it looks like there might be a conflict with some other PDF creating tool, the path you mention isn’t usually related to PDFCreator.  

You can download all ghostscript versions from here: http://www.ghostscript.com/download/ and point the PDFCreator to them in the ghostscript section of the options.

I set this

C:\Program Files (x86)\PDFCreator\GS9.10\gs9.10\Lib
into the “Additional Ghostscript Searchpath” box but the result is always the same!
The log error is this:

Hi,


There seems to be some ghostscript specific problem on your system, have you tried removing ghostscript entirely? It is really a uncommen problem, we can only guess could be wrong here. Have you checked if C.\windows\fonts is still all readable?

To remove ghostscript, try uninstalling it from your Windows control panel.

To check if C:\windows\fonts is still readable, right click on the folder and check the settings under “security”.
