Hello,
ESET Smart Security warned me about “Win32/InstallMonetizer.AQ
potentially unwanted application” during installation of 1.7.2 version. What should I do?

Hi,

this is related to the offer presented to you during the setup, which in some cases can be called a potentially unwanted application by some AV software. If it is unwanted for you, you can choose not to install it during the setup ( a seperate offer screen will be loaded, which you can simply cancel). Nothing will get installed without your consent.

Hi,

I think you are not right because I selected expert and typical installation and I additionally chose czech language only. Pre-checked were “Program files” folder and english language only, there were nothing about “InstallMonetizer”…

it doesn’t matter which type of setup you choose, the InstallMonetizer will always open an additional window during the setup to show you an offer from one of our advertising partners, which you can then install if you like it, or don’t install it if it isn’t usefull for you. You can also let ESET block the InstallMonetizer part of the setup, PDFCreator should still install properly.

Yes, it could be true. I always click on “Delete” in ESET and installation looks finished properly.
