Why is data missing when viewing in Adobe reader

It seems PDF Architect is not using standards based file creation.


After combining several PDFs with PDF Architect 4, the output is missing
some text when viewing with PDF readers other than PDF Architect.

This happens when combining files that have form filled data. The filled in
data does not appear after combining the file. The odd part is, I know the
data is there, because when clicking on an are that should show data, that
single fields data will be revealed. Clicking on a field shows data, then disappears
again when moving the mouse.

Is there a fix for this? 

If files created with PDF Architect 4, can’t be properly viewed
with other readers, we will not be able to use this product as a replacement for
Adobe professional products.

I did a quick test but wasn’t able to reproduce this here, this is what I did:

Created a blank PDF with some form elements (textboxes), filled the textbox with content, saved
Created a second PDF with some form elements (textboxes) filled with content, saved

combined both PDFs with PDF Architect 4 and opened with Adobe Reader X, all content ws visible (also checked with SumatraPDF all content is also visible

If possible, please send us 2 example forms which don’t combine properly to support(at)pdfforge(dot)org and we will have another look at this.
